Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)

GFCI plugs are installed for the safety of the user. They are mandatory in many places to ensure the building passes inspection. If you are having problems getting power in certain places, your GFCI outlet may have tripped. Often times, this means there is a problem with something other than the outlet itself, but sometimes you just need to reset them and you’re back in business. Our GFCI troubleshooting page will help you understand the basics of using your home’s GFCI outlets.

Arc Fault

Your home is equipped with AFCI protection where required by code. These breakers are more advanced than traditional breakers. If you are having problems getting power in certain places, your AFCI may have tripped. Often times, this means there is a problem with something other than the outlet itself, but sometimes you just need to reset them and you’re back in business. Our AFCI troubleshooting page will help you understand the basics of using your home’s AFCI outlets.
